I’m handing over my not good enough stuff.

    • Amy Ahlers May 13, 2011 at 8:26 am

Way to go….I hate that “I’m not enough” big fat lie. So glad you’re handing it up!

  2. BC May 13, 2011 at 7:00 am

I’m handing over my recent heartbreak and the painful emotions that go with it and the desire (so much!) to receive an apology.

    • Amy Ahlers May 13, 2011 at 8:35 am

Beautiful BC. I’m really struck about the attachment you have to receiving an apology…I SO get it and have been there so many times.

I’m sending you visions of total release and trust that you were never truly wronged.

  3. Kathy May 13, 2011 at 7:12 am

I am handing over my desire to meet my perfect match! Believe and release!!

  4. Julie May 13, 2011 at 7:43 am

I handed over curing me of diabetes to God. The prescription drug didn’t really work and the side effects meant another drug was needed to deal with the side effects, which generated its own side effects. Enough!! I quit that merry go round, and handed it over to God. But I test my fasting glucose every morning to see how God is progressing with this task. I take a box-ful of herbal supplements to help Him. Clearly I haven’t “handed it over” when I’m still working the details and am checking for progress everyday. You’ve inspired me to be honest with myself about where I am with this.

    • Amy Ahlers May 13, 2011 at 8:57 am

I’m moved by your post…I want to encourage you to allow your morning glucose testing to be a collection of evidence that supports how well The Divine is doing. So instead of thinking you’re checking up, you can be appreciating what a great job The Universe is doing.

And surrendering doesn’t mean we don’t take action. We can surrender our health up to The Divine, but it would be foolish to then stop eating healthy or exercising (or start eating only fast food or picking up unhealthy habits and lie to ourselves saying “The Universe will take care of me)…instead let’s do inspired actions that feel in alignment with our faith.

So for you, what are the inspired actions you feel called and guided by The Divine to take. Let The Universe be in the drivers seat…and please be in the car.

      Does that make sense?

I am handing over to the divine my ex’s new relationship.

  6. Anna May 13, 2011 at 8:08 am

  7. Karen M May 13, 2011 at 8:11 am

I’m handing over the details of finally becoming a professional singer and stopping doing things that are out of alignment with who I am.

  8. Terri May 13, 2011 at 8:26 am

I am handing over to God my relationship with my sister that I don’t know how to fix.

  9. Kelsey May 13, 2011 at 9:07 am

I am handing over to the Universe the ability to create a harmonious home in which to create and raise my baby girl (due in August 😉

  10. Tanya May 13, 2011 at 10:58 am

I am handing over my food (sugar, Kombucha, overeating), and my relationship (ie with my boyfriend?) and my new business!

  11. Justine May 13, 2011 at 11:01 am

I release ALL CONTROL to God. I am tired of trying to control what is happening at work, trying to control who, how and when my business should be turned over to someone else, trying to control where my life is going, trying to control where I should live and when I should get there, trying to control pleasing others, trying to control being and looking perfect, trying to control when my soulmate will manifest, trying to control learning all this spiritual stuff and monitoring my thinking and then beating myself up when I make a mistake, trying to control EVERYTHING! It is exhausting. I am tired. I just want to be guided. I want to be led. I want my mind to rest. I want to be taken care of – for the first time, maybe ever, in my life.
So, it’s all yours, God! I give it all up to you.

    Now that feels better…. 🙂

    • AC May 13, 2011 at 2:51 pm

Justine, I have control issues too and know first-hand just how exhausting it is – both mentally and physically. I’ll be sending good thoughts your way to help you release this burden.

    • Trina May 15, 2011 at 6:59 am

I feel exactly the same way. I will pray for you as I am on exactly the same path. I am tired of the worry. I want Joy in my life. 🙂

  12. Katie May 13, 2011 at 1:43 pm

Handing over my “I don’t know what to do” paralysis. Thank you God for handling that one for me!

  13. Katie May 13, 2011 at 1:45 pm

And, I’m handing over my “not pretty enough” thing. Not pretty enough for what?! Not pretty is a BF(f’in)L!

  14. Have Faith May 13, 2011 at 3:08 pm

I’m planning to move to a new home, in a new state, far away from all my family and friends, without any job prospects. I’ve been trying to micro-manage every detail and my brain feels like it’s ready to explode. I’m releasing all the details to the divine power of the Universe. I’m going to have faith that the house that’s perfect for my needs will manifest itself in a safe and welcoming town that is the best fit for me at a price I can comfortably afford; and that I will find an enjoyable and fulfilling means of providing for my financial needs.

  15. lynn May 14, 2011 at 2:51 pm

I am handing over my fears and releasing them into joy of a new job, in a different city after 1 1/2 years of looking for work! I surrender to the universe everyone else’s judgement of me. I know my heart and it is good, a little sensitive perhaps, but very compassionate! “Have Faith” . what a wonderful mantra! Yes, I know there are new friends in my new place that I just don’t know yet. I will attract them to me, as you will in your new venture! Control is the ultimate illusion!

  16. tina May 14, 2011 at 3:34 pm

Thanks Amy I needed to remember this , I choose to surrender all my concerns about my new Reiki practice, & my want /need to be activated into Angel light healing.& my need to find someone who can & will do the activation so that I can share it with others. I also let go of my many anxieties.

    peace & blessings,

  17. Lori May 15, 2011 at 5:16 am

I am turning over my attachment to my ex and the past, and trusting that life and love will unfold in the most blessed way.

  18. Trina May 15, 2011 at 6:56 am

Your video really hit home for me today. I have been struggling with full surrender for quite some time now. I am having trouble with my career and thus my finances because I continue to play small. I have been burned in the past by taking risk and it seems that I am stuck. I know that God is ready to advance me but I am the resistant link. So today I surrender my resistance.

  19. Alice May 15, 2011 at 9:01 am

Wonderful tip Amy. I am surrending my search for a soulmate (God can give him the map to find me! 😉 and my concern over losing weight. Thanks for the inspiration!

  20. Hayley May 15, 2011 at 1:43 pm

Thank you I have read all of your posts and knowing how we are all trying to micro manage already feels better – I release my life to GOD to fulfill my life purpose… all the little hardships that I contend with thank you, they make me stronger and I am not in fear of my life as some are in other countries.

Julie – with Diabetes, if you read this, please find a good nutritional therapist I am studying – I know that people have gotten over it and come off the drugs – it takes a bit of action from you – but as I was reading this I feel that was GOD helping you xxx

  21. gigi May 18, 2011 at 10:00 pm

I surrender worrying about being “second best.” I am very much first best in my own life, having given up that I must accept any less respect or treatment from others. I need to give up apologizing for having needs.
My soulmate is out there on his way to find me, with divine’s blessing.

  22. Patty May 20, 2011 at 8:36 am

I love this video! I try to micro-manage everything and its exhausting! And my anxious thoughts have really been spiraling out of control lately. What a relief to watch this video and be reminded to trust the universe and life itself. Just as life provides my next breath, it will provide what I need as I need it in perfect time. Thank you for sharing your energy and light, it really brightened my morning.

  23. Joy April 29, 2012 at 11:47 am

There’s a big difference between surrendering (and then taking massive action as though you’re actually going to realize your desired outcome) and giving up (and saying that it’s in God’s hands). So-called “surrendering” and then sitting on your duff waiting for God to work His/Her magic is a bit ridiculous. Oprah said on one of her LifeClasses that there’s been so many times that she’s prayed to God, and wondered why her prayers weren’t answered and realized that God was waiting on her. Perhaps surrender is the magic to see the rope in front of you, but you’ve got to climb the rope. Perhaps surrender is embracing fully EXACTLY what your situation is, ACCEPTING it, and then praying to realize the LESSON contained within. And realizing that you are BLESSED to be in your current place and that doesn’t mean you’re going to STAY there.

A few years ago, my college-age son deoeevpld some alarming physical symptoms for which he needed a series of neurological tests and MRI. It was the scariest time of my life. After a couple weeks of prayer the soul wrenching intense kind of prayer, I realized I needed to surrender my son’s health and his future to God. I could not hang on to what I believed his life and health should be like. It was a turning point in my spiritual life that brought me closer to God than I could ever imagine. Miraculously, his symptoms disappeared. He is healthy and happy today. He just graduated from college and will be married in August!!!
