Dear One,

I couldn’t help myself. I’d been hearing about the documentary show “Surviving R. Kelly” and after watching one episode late night when the house was quiet, I ended up binge watching the entire 6 part series all weekend.

I literally had nightmares about it…especially as a mother of two girls.

It brought back the same pit in my stomach that I felt when I watched the horror-show of the Kavanaugh hearings.

Watching credible women and girl survivors courageously step forward to share the abuse and assault they endured at the hands of powerful, entitled men….and watching people not care enough to do anything about it.

And then to add insult to the catastrophic injury, watching in terror as WOMEN DEFEND THESE MEN.

Watch the R. Kelly documentary and you’ll see droves of women defending him…even at his trial featuring a video tape of him raping (and yes urinating on) a 14 year old girl.

Pull up any post about Judge Kavanaugh and you’ll see women defending his actions, his outrageous behavior, claiming “boys will be boys”. And then watch Senator Susan Collins essentially do an infomercial for how wonderful Kavanaugh is on the floor of the senate, mentioning the credible accusation and testimony of Dr. Ford, but never ever addressing the entitled rage filled testimony Kavanaugh gave before the committee.

I JUST CAN’T STAND IT ANYMORE.

I feel like I’m suffocating on the toxic masculinity that we’ve all, men and women alike, been indoctrinated in.

The world desperately needs heart-centered women leaders who are in touch with their Inner Wisdom to rise right now.

I know it and you know it.
